This beautiful terraced house is situated within the apartment complex "Gaathof" in Keitum, on lavishly and well kept premises. From here you will have easy access to all areas on the island. The heart of the village, with all its restaurants, shops, galleries and museums is only a 5 minute stroll away. The railway station (5 minutes train ride to Westerland) is only 2 minutes away. 2 riding stables in the vicinity make equestrian hearts leap for joy. The house is ideally located for all jogging enthusiasts, whether it will be a route towards the Rantum Basin and beautiful dikes or towards the Keitum Meadows. You may reach the west coast beach areas (towards the open sea) by car in 10 minutes (7 km) or the Wadden Sea National Park (UNESCO World Heritage) within a 10 minute walking distance (900 m).

The house has its own separate entrance and is very bright and confidently stylish equipped.
Ground floor:
Landing with coat rack. From here you will enter the living-/dining area with an open plan kitchen. Bright floor tiles and friendly beige/white colors will immediately let you feel at home. The modern kitchen consists of a dishwasher, ceramic hob, fridge, oven and a lot of helpful utensils. A flatscreen TV, hi-fi system and WIFI will connect you to the world. There is also a cubby to stow away the vacuum cleaner, iron and iron board and other stuff like shoes etc.
First floor:
Very spacious bedroom with lots of wardrobe space, a king-size bed (160x200 cm) with one single mattress, another TV and DVD player. The oak parquet generates a cosy and warm feeling. The bathroom is also very bright, with shower facilities and a single washbasin.
Attic:
The typical Sylt style attic has another double bed (140x200cm) plus an additional spare bed (90x200cm) and additional wardrobes, all nicely build in. The typical frisian bull's-eye window allows sufficient light coming in and can be opened unter the thatched roof.
There is no carpet in the whole house to cater for customers suffering from an allergy.

You will access a very pretty terrace directly from the living area with comfortable seating arrangements overlooking the nice and cosy garden. From April until October there will be a private roofed wicker beach chair available! Here you can enjoy the sun from midday until late evening hours and have a nice drink.
There is also a spacious lawn in front of the house, where children can safely play.

2 specially dedicated/reserved parking lots offer you the best comfort without hassle.
Bicycle stands are also available.

Special features

1 linens package per person is included in the rental price, each consisting of 1 bed linen (beds are made freshly just before your arrival), 1 shower towel, 2 towels, 1 guest towel. 2 dishtowels and a shower mat are also included free of charge. Fresh towels will be provided after 7 days (for a stay exceeding one week).

Please bring all your beach towels with you, many thanks ;-)

WIFI is provided free of charge.

Visitors' spa tax for Sylt / Keitum is only applicable for adults (18 years and above). The Visitors' spa tax will be invoiced separately and the amount will be directly transferred to the city council by us.

General Information

We are offering the house also for customers suffering from an allergy. Therefore we hope that you may respect the following:
- There are no pets allowed
- Smokers are asked to smoke outside the building and the garden offers a nice place to do so.

On the day of arrival, the accommodation is available from 16:00.

On the day of departure you must leave the property by 10:00 at the latest.

How can I book an accommodation?
We distinguish between two booking types on our website. The landlord decides which type of booking he likes to offer, so that only one is possible per accommodation. You can see the valid booking type on the right side of the property listing under the price per night.

Properties with Enquiry Booking: To book an accommodation please contact the landlord by phone or via the contact form on the property listing. It is impossible to book such properties directly online on our website.

Properties with Online Booking: To book an accommodation directly and bindingly online, please enter your travel period, the number of guests and calculate the valid price. Afterwards, please complete the booking form in three easy steps. Alternatively, you can also use our telephone booking service.

Under which conditions can I book an accommodation?
Basically, the accommodation has to be vacant in your requested travel period. Furthermore, the conditions, such as max. number of guests, the minimum stay, the valid arrival and departure days have to be observed.

Please note: The rental contract is always concluded between the tenant and the landlord. Travanto is just the intermediary.

Is the accommodation vacant and bookable in my requested travel period?
In general, you are able to rent the accommodation, if your travel period is marked as vacant in the availability calendar. You can find the calendar nearly at the end of the property listing.

If a rental price can be calculated, a booking of the property is possible in your requested travel period. For further information about where and how you can calculate the rental price, please read the answer to question no. 6.

Is it possible to cancel my booking?
Yes, but please note that in case of a cancellation by the tenant the landlord might charge a cancellation fee. This applies in general when a rental contract has been already concluded bindingly.

How do I calculate the total rental price?
Please specify your arrival and departure dates by typing them in directly or using the calendar on the right side of this page. Alternatively, you can use the availability calendar right below the rental prices by clicking on the dates. Afterwards you enter the number of guests and, if necessary, select optional additional services. You receive the total rental price now, which includes at least the total accommodation price including the final cleaning. Surcharges for additional guests, discounts and optional additional services are also included, if stated. All prices include VAT. Whether the tourist tax is included or not is displayed below the total rental price.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

What happens after I have booked an accommodation?
Once you have made a binding booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via e-mail. If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, please check also your spam folder. You will also receive the contact details of the landlord and the property address via e-mail as soon as we determine the payment receipt on our bank account.

If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).

Is it possible to exceed the maximum number of guests?
In general it is impossible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Not even if you organise more sleeping facilities by yourself. Children, regardless of age, are considered as a guest. The indicated rental price is only valid for the maximum possible number of guests.

Are there discounts for children?
Some properties offer special rates for children. You can recognize those accommodations, if you are asked about the amount and the age of the travelling children in the price calculation. If this is not the case, the stated prices apply to all guests (regardless of age).

Where is my accommodation located?
You can see the location of your accommodation on a map in the "Location" section on this page. Right below this map, you will find distances to interesting places e.g. city center, beach, ski lift or the next shopping possibility. Furthermore, an individual text written by the landlord gives you more information about your holiday destination.

Are pets allowed?
Whether you can bring your pets or not, please read the information in the "Features" section on this page. In general, the term "Pets not allowed" means that it is not permitted to bring any kind of pets at all.

When are the check-in and check-out times for my accommodation?
You find the check-in and check-out times under "General Information" in the "Property description" section on this page, if the landlord has entered these information. Deviations from this regulation can be discussed individually. If your arrival/departure has to be very early/late, we will gladly clarify this with the landlord, if the accommodation is only bookable online. If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord directly about this issue.

How does the handover and the return of the keys take place?
The key handover and return has to be clarified directly with the landlord. Please see question no. 18 to learn more about how and when you can contact your landlord.

Why is a price calculation impossible, even though the accommodation is vacant?
There may be various reasons for this:

  • Your travel period undercuts the given minimum stay.
  • Your desired date of arrival/departure is impossible according to the landlord's settings.
  • A gap in the calendar is impossible to rent, if it undercuts the minimum stay, e.g. A gap of three nights is not bookable, if the given minimum stay is five nights.
  • You cannot book an accommodation, if your desired travel period causes a gap which is lower than the minimum stay.
  • Your requested arrival date is too short-term.
  • Since some of our accommodations are from cooperation partners, it is possible that the given data may not be up-to-date. In this case your desired travel period may be no longer available in the price calculation.
  • 17
    My requested travel period is below the minimum stay. How can I continue?
    In this case your desired travel period is not bookable. You can extend your stay, if this is an option for you or you search for another accommodation with an appropriate minimum stay.

    If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord via phone or the contact form on this page. If no exception can be made, the minimum stay for this accommodation has to be respected.
