Gaadt, a residential street, not a thoroughfare, is situated at the southern border of Westerland’s inner city. The house is located back from the street, which makes it very peaceful and the street is dotted with other little detached houses. Everything can be reached on foot – a bakery, bike hire, lovely restaurants, ranging from simple to exclusive, supermarket, the hustle and bustle and, above all, the beach. The sea path, “Himmelsleiter”, is about 150m away and leads to a peaceful family beach.

                The house is design oriented, both inside and outside, and has been renovated from the ground up. It is bright and friendly with enormous windows and offers guests a luxurious ambience with its modern furnishings. Here you will feel right at home, just like the owners, who regularly stay at the house.

                Enter through the front door and you will arrive in the lounge. As in all of the rooms in the house, the floor has been laid with oak boards. On the comfortable sofa, which can be adjusted right down to a lying position, and two arm chairs you will be able to while away rainy days with a multitude of channels on the large, flat-screen television.

                A large wardrobe accommodates all of your coats, Frisian oilskins and shoes.

                The guest bathroom is enormous and also serves as a shower. Glass partitioning, a floor level windows and a “Rainshower” take care of the wow-effect you need to wake up in the mornings or to wash away the sand in the afternoons.

                On the upper storey there are two bedrooms of approximately the same size. These are not little rooms, but rather large, bright rooms fitted with wide double beds and enough room for useless, empty suitcases. Lying down, your gaze can wander all the way to the very top of the roof. Here you will also enjoy find flat-screen televisions with a myriad of channels.

                The bathroom here is also very generously proportioned. A double washbasin with room for 2 people, more than enough storage space for toiletries and another shower with glass partitions and “Rainshower” provide enough fun for a whole day.

                Back downstairs you can explore the rest of the ground floor. The open-plan living room leads to the dining room with enough space for a convivial party of up to six people.

                Directly adjacent is the open-plan kitchen, fitted with everything a foodie could wish for: a kitchen island with glass induction hob, stainless steel extraction hood, dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and pantry space for provisions.

                Both the kitchen and the dining room open up by way of large glass doors to the terrace. Lots of light and air, and an easy path to the second lounge outside.

                On the south-facing terrace you can enjoy the sun until the cows come home, from morning to evening. In front of the kitchen, a large teak seating arrangement awaits dinner time, which you can enjoy in the shadow of an extra large umbrella.

                In front of the living room, a large sofa invites you to relax and lounge around.

                In front of the terrace, the lawn leads to a garden house. Here, behind the giant window, are sauna facilities. Use the sauna every day to unwind or on cold days to enjoy the relaxing, warm air. A large wet area is reminiscent of luxury and care-free days. You will feel at home in the huge peace and relaxation area with armchairs and a sofa.

                In this room is also the third, exceptionally wide double bed. Bed lamps, a wardrobe area etc. are provided as in the other bedrooms.

                Special features

                Throughout the premises, a fast wireless internet connection is available free of charge. Check your emails or take care of business matters whilst on holiday.

                In the basement you can use the new washing machine and dryer free of charge.

                In the living room there is a designer HiFi system. Listen to your favourite music using your iPod or iPhone, which can be connected to the music system. You can also listen to a number of cable radio channels.

                In the dining room is a Nespresso machine, which you can use to enjoy wonderful espressi and cappucchini. A delicious coffee can also be prepared in no time at all.

                Vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, clothes horses etc are also available as a matter of course.

                How can I book an accommodation?
                We distinguish between two booking types on our website. The landlord decides which type of booking he likes to offer, so that only one is possible per accommodation. You can see the valid booking type on the right side of the property listing under the price per night.

                Properties with Enquiry Booking: To book an accommodation please contact the landlord by phone or via the contact form on the property listing. It is impossible to book such properties directly online on our website.

                Properties with Online Booking: To book an accommodation directly and bindingly online, please enter your travel period, the number of guests and calculate the valid price. Afterwards, please complete the booking form in three easy steps. Alternatively, you can also use our telephone booking service.

                Under which conditions can I book an accommodation?
                Basically, the accommodation has to be vacant in your requested travel period. Furthermore, the conditions, such as max. number of guests, the minimum stay, the valid arrival and departure days have to be observed.

                Please note: The rental contract is always concluded between the tenant and the landlord. Travanto is just the intermediary.

                Is the accommodation vacant and bookable in my requested travel period?
                In general, you are able to rent the accommodation, if your travel period is marked as vacant in the availability calendar. You can find the calendar nearly at the end of the property listing.

                If a rental price can be calculated, a booking of the property is possible in your requested travel period. For further information about where and how you can calculate the rental price, please read the answer to question no. 6.

                There might be vacant periods which you are unable to book. Please see question no. 16 for more information.

                Is it possible to cancel my booking?
                Yes, but please note that in case of a cancellation by the tenant the landlord might charge a cancellation fee. This applies in general when a rental contract has been already concluded bindingly.

                How do I calculate the total rental price?
                Please specify your arrival and departure dates by typing them in directly or using the calendar on the right side of this page. Alternatively, you can use the availability calendar right below the rental prices by clicking on the dates. Afterwards you enter the number of guests and, if necessary, select optional additional services. You receive the total rental price now, which includes at least the total accommodation price including the final cleaning. Surcharges for additional guests, discounts and optional additional services are also included, if stated. All prices include VAT. Whether the tourist tax is included or not is displayed below the total rental price.

                Do I have to pay a security deposit?
                If a security deposit is required, please see the "Additional Price Information" in the "Rental Prices" section on this page.

                What happens after I have booked an accommodation?
                Once you have made a binding booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via e-mail. If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, please check also your spam folder. You will also receive the contact details of the landlord and the property address via e-mail as soon as we determine the payment receipt on our bank account.

                If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).

                Is it possible to exceed the maximum number of guests?
                In general it is impossible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Not even if you organise more sleeping facilities by yourself. Children, regardless of age, are considered as a guest. The indicated rental price is only valid for the maximum possible number of guests.

                Are there discounts for children?
                Some properties offer special rates for children. You can recognize those accommodations, if you are asked about the amount and the age of the travelling children in the price calculation. If this is not the case, the stated prices apply to all guests (regardless of age).

                Where is my accommodation located?
                You can see the location of your accommodation on a map in the "Location" section on this page. Right below this map, you will find distances to interesting places e.g. city center, beach, ski lift or the next shopping possibility. Furthermore, an individual text written by the landlord gives you more information about your holiday destination.

                You find the information about the floor right below the pictures of the accommodation at the top of this page.

                Are pets allowed?
                Whether you can bring your pets or not, please read the information in the "Features" section on this page. In general, the term "Pets not allowed" means that it is not permitted to bring any kind of pets at all.

                When are the check-in and check-out times for my accommodation?
                You find the check-in and check-out times under "General Information" in the "Property description" section on this page, if the landlord has entered these information. Deviations from this regulation can be discussed individually. If your arrival/departure has to be very early/late, we will gladly clarify this with the landlord, if the accommodation is only bookable online. If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord directly about this issue.

                How does the handover and the return of the keys take place?
                The key handover and return has to be clarified directly with the landlord. Please see question no. 18 to learn more about how and when you can contact your landlord.

                Why is a price calculation impossible, even though the accommodation is vacant?
                There may be various reasons for this:

              • Your travel period undercuts the given minimum stay.
              • Your desired date of arrival/departure is impossible according to the landlord's settings.
              • A gap in the calendar is impossible to rent, if it undercuts the minimum stay, e.g. A gap of three nights is not bookable, if the given minimum stay is five nights.
              • You cannot book an accommodation, if your desired travel period causes a gap which is lower than the minimum stay.
              • Your requested arrival date is too short-term.
              • Since some of our accommodations are from cooperation partners, it is possible that the given data may not be up-to-date. In this case your desired travel period may be no longer available in the price calculation.

                My requested travel period is below the minimum stay. How can I continue?
                In this case your desired travel period is not bookable. You can extend your stay, if this is an option for you or you search for another accommodation with an appropriate minimum stay.
