Island Tours

If you are visiting Sylt for the first time, a great way to get an overview of the island is to take part in a bus tour. The Sylt Transport Association hast wo tours on offer that accommodate different interests and timetables. The small island tour takes about two hours and travels from Wenningstedt and Kampen to List. Here you have a bit of time to enjoy the gorgeous dune landscapes of Germany’s most northern township and also visit the “Ellenbogen”, or “Elbow” of Sylt – the most northern point of the island. After a short break the island tour continues to the villages of Braderup, Munkmarsch, Keitum and Tinnum. The final destination of the tour is Westerland Station.

Plan a little more time for the long island tour. In three to three-and-a-half hours, participants will also journey to the island’s most southernly point. This journey will take you from Rantum to Hörnum, the most southern township in Sylt. Here you will also have the opportunity to visit the Hörnum Odde, a protected dune and heather landscape. Both island tours are great for getting a first overview of Sylt and receiving fascinating information about the island.
