Kupferkanne

The Kupferkanne can look back at a 70 year history. It is located in an underground bunker near the old Hünengräber tombs in Sylt, which was converted by a sculptor and a lieutenant, shortly before the end of the Second World War. In the beginning it was used as an atelier where visitors could be vases sculpted from tidal mud; today it is one of the most popular cafés on the island.
Visit the Kupferkanne and marvel at its gorgeous location and special rooms, enjoy a fresh cup of coffee or a slice of delicious cake.

St. Nicolai Church

The largest church on the island has very bright, friendly interiors. With its two organs and its Romanic baptismal font, it is certainly worth a visit. Floodlights illuminate the Romanic elements from the outside when night falls over Westerland.
