Morsum is a dispersed settlement in the very east of the island. This township is made up of five areas and in the past almost all Morsum residents lived off the land. Today Morsum has turned to tourism, however, you can still take a farm holiday in Morsum.     

Morsum is the first town you pass when you arrive in Sylt by train. Otherwise, this little town with 1,100 residents is very quiet and contemplative. There is no beach, but this is compensated for by innumerable hiking tracks through fields, meadows and dykes. Most well-known and worth a visit is the Morsum Cliff which rises up out of up to 10 million year old layers of earth, offering wonderful walking tracks.
